In my senior year of high school, I took a course that revolved around the planning, designing, photography, construction, and printing aspects of our high school's annual yearbook, turus. Every year the book is "named" a subtitle, and this year's was Imprint.

Imprint is a project I'm personally very proud of. When you look back on your experience in high school, your yearbook is usually a first place to look, and so it holds a certain sense of responsibility when it comes to the quality of the production. I handled the designing and layout of the sports section of the book, while working in a team to develop the central theme of the book that is used across the publication. For the first time in school history, the sports section highlighted the results of each team and it's individuals by including medal icons underneath their banners. This was a contribution that was well-recieved by students when recieving their books and something that we hope will become a staple of turus; this was also one of my initiatives for the book than I am most proud of.

Besides the obvious collaborative aspects, I learned a lot about myself and my ability to work in a group setting throughout the making of this book. As this was one of my first experiences in a real design team, it gave me an opprotunity to evaluate the group dynamic and play to the strengths of each person working on it. I feel like my presence is felt across the book but that it's far from my project, and I'm thankful I had the opprotunity to work with such strong students and faculty to help develop a snapshot of Cameron history.
